Jenny Hilton-Clarke lives with her horses in the remote rainforest
of Tobago. She comes from a family of English artists and has
painted all her life. She has exhibited several times in both
Trinidad and Tobago, over the last 24 years, and produced a
diverse array of works ranging from the scenic to the deeply
mystical and visionary. The influence of many cultures, styles,
mythologies and philosophies can be seen weaving a continuum
through her work, exploring themes, patterns and foci as they
evolve through her inner life. But most important and
influential to her art are the direct experiences and insights,
which arise, from living primitively and alone in wild and
completely natural surroundings and spending many hours, day and
night in meditation. She has been a practicing Tibetan Buddhist
for over 30 years.
