Valerie Belgrave is both a visual and a
writer. As a groundbreaking batik artist she has held many
memorable exhibitions and fashion shows in Trinidad, London,
Montreal, Toronto, Washington and several Caribbean islands. She
returned to painting on canvas in the 1990’s achieving sold out
exhibitions in Trinidad in 2001 and 2004 and in the USA in 2002.
Belgrave is a member of the Women in Art organization.
She is also a playwright and author of four novels including the
well known ‘Ti Marie’.
